Want an outdoor session without waiting for perfect fall color?


Tucked away in Waterloo, Illinois, this little gem of a park is surrounded by tall cedar and evergreen trees, creating a naturally beautiful setting that works beautifully throughout late fall, and with just enough evergreen to give your portraits a subtle holiday feel.


Woodland Sessions can be scheduled in October or November, making them a great option for anyone who wants the look and feel of an outdoor session without relying on peak foliage. Even after the leaves have dropped, the evergreens keep the setting lush and inviting.


November sessions can be a little chillier and weather-dependent, but the setting gives us a beautiful outdoor option well beyond the traditional fall-color window.

Ideal for multiple pets or dogs who need extra time.

Session Details:


BEFORE THE SESSION

Once you’re ready to book, you’ll receive a link to complete your booking form, sign the session agreement, and pay your reservation retainer. You’ll also receive a pre-session questionnaire so I can learn more about your family, pets, and what you’re hoping to create.


Phone consultations are available if you’d like to talk through questions, location ideas, or special requests. The process is designed to be simple, relaxed, and tailored to your session


INVESTMENT 

All sessions require a $100 retainer, applied toward your session fee. This secures your session date and time and is non-refundable due to the exclusive reservation. The remaining balance is due on or before your session date.


CANCELLATIONS + WEATHER 

If you’re unable to attend your session due to an exceptional circumstance, your retainer will be issued as a credit toward a future session. Monetary refunds are not available.


IMAGE DELIVERY

Your proofing gallery will be ready within 7–10 days, with up to two weeks allowed. After you select your images, your final, fully edited gallery is typically delivered within two weeks.


Additional images, full gallery upgrades, and professional prints and wall art are available.


EDITING & ARTISTIC STYLE

Selected images are fully edited and retouched, including color correction and removal of common distractions such as leashes. Final artistic choices and post-production style are part of my creative process. Special editing requests may be subject to an additional fee.

While your session includes fully edited digital images, my goal is for your portraits to become lasting artwork in your home. From fine art prints to metal wall art, canvases, and albums, professional-quality products are available to help you display your dog’s portraits in a way that’s beautiful and personal.
