THE STUDIO DOG- A CREATIVE COLLECTION

A fresh collection of studio portraits for dogs who deserve to be the main character.

I've been photographing dogs in the studio for years. In fact, studio dog portraiture has always been a big part of my work.

But for the last several years, my attention has been pulled away from studio portraiture while I created Zoomies Pet  Cafe. During this time, I have spent more time working on my “Pets as Family” sessions and doing many of my sessions on location. Now that I'm spending more time in my new studio, I'm excited to create a fresh body of studio work and bring this part of my photography back into the spotlight.

For the next two months, I'm giving myself some room for creative experimentation with the art of the image.

I'm looking for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, colors and personalities to be part of the collection.

I’ll play with different setups and colorful backdrops, along with the kinds of portraits I love most: beautiful classic expressions, treat-catching, bubbles, ice cream, silly faces, movement and all the unexpected moments that make your dog uniquely yours.

This collection gives me the freedom to experiment creatively with color, composition, movement and personality. Not because I'm learning how to photograph dogs in the studio, but because I want to explore just how many different ways we can create incredible portraits of them.

Every dog brings something different to the session, and I'll use their personality, coloring and energy to guide the creative direction.

The result? Five completely unique portraits created specifically for your dog.

Fluffy white and gray Sheepadoodle dog smiling with tongue out against a bright pink background.
A brown and white Boston Terrier mix with blue eyes poses against a vibrant pink-purple background.
Happy brindle and white pit bull terrier smiling against a vibrant purple background.
Fluffy white dog with long shaggy fur and expressive eyes poses for a portrait against a light gray background.

Session Details:

BEFORE THE SESSION

Once you’re ready to book, you’ll receive a link to complete your booking form, sign the session agreement, and pay your reservation retainer. You’ll also receive a pre-session questionnaire so I can learn more about your dog’s personality and preferences—those details go a long way in creating a relaxed, successful session.

Phone consultations are available if you’d like to talk through questions or special requests. The process is designed to be simple, stress-free, and tailored to your dog

INVESTMENT

All sessions require a $100 retainer, applied toward your session fee. This secures your session date and time and is non-refundable due to the exclusive reservation. The remaining balance is due on or before your session date.

CANCELLATIONS + WEATHER

If you’re unable to attend your session due to an exceptional circumstance, your retainer will be issued as a credit toward a future session. Monetary refunds are not available.

AFTER THE SESSION

Turnaround is typically 2 weeks. Each gallery is carefully curated and fully retouched, with a print release included.

You may also choose to:

  • Purchase additional images or bundles
  • Upgrade to the full gallery
  • Order professional prints, albums, or wall art

Editing & Artistic Style:

I remove distractions like leashes or stray eye boogies, color-correct, and enhance each image to reflect your dog’s personality at its best. Final artistic choices and post-production style are part of my creative process. Special editing requests can be accommodated for an additional fee.

HEIRLOOM PRODUCTS + WALL ART

While your session includes fully edited digital images, my goal is for your portraits to become lasting artwork in your home. From fine art prints to metal wall art, canvases, and albums, professional-quality products are available to help you display your dog’s portraits in a way that’s beautiful and personal.

Your dog deserves more than a screen, and your home deserves the art.
